We are delighted to announce the New Zealand Winner of the 6^th Annual Brother International Quilting Contest as Jacqui Audain of Auckland. She has won the wonderful QC2000 sewing machine, valued at $2,999.

Jacqui created an image of tranquillity and warmth that inspires appreciation to conserve our natural environment. Her thread & fabric choices brought life to her design and her applique, hand-painting and free-motion quilting techniques were beautifully executed. Overall this is a stunning piece that we are proud to see represent the best of New Zealand quilting.

Highly Commended awards were given to Dianne Southey of Palmerston North and Raewyn Clark of Auckland for their delightful interpretations of this year’s ‘Eco’ theme. Congratulations to all three women whose entries now travel to Japan for judging in the International competition, the winner to be announced in February 2017.
